COMMUNITY GRANTS

Mumbulla Community Foundation is an independent not-for-profit organisation that funds, supports and enables local initiatives, while building the capacity of individuals and organisations to enhance their wellbeing, prosperity, resilience, sustainability and social cohesion within the Bega Valley.

CONTINUING EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Our scholarships provide opportunities for continuing educational and professional development for residents of the Bega Valley Shire.

UNIVERSITY OF WOLLONGONG - BEGA CAMPUS - SCHOLARSHIPS

Since 2006, Mumbulla Community Foundation has been delighted to work with the team at the University of Wollongong Campus in Bega, led by Samantha Avitaia, to award our annual Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarships. The scholarships have a value of $1000 each. Since the start of the programme we have provided ninety (90) scholarships to local students studying at UoW Bega.

FRRR BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAM

Each year the FRRR provides gift vouchers to Mumbulla Community Foundation to be distributed among schools in the Bega Valley and given to selected students. The vouchers are valued at $50 each and are to be used for the purchase of school related items from Target/Kmart stores.

ANNUAL BOOK PRIZES

Mumbulla Community Foundation awards annual book prizes to Bega Valley primary and secondary schools.

We would like to thank the Mumbulla Community Foundation for providing us with the funds to be able to implement this project. We are truly grateful for their patience with us and allowing us to continue with the project even though it was past its due date. We are extremely pleased with the end result of the resource we have developed and hope that the community can use it to learn some of the local Aboriginal language.
