Cobargo Food Tool Library Project
Grantee Spotlight: Cobargo Food Tool Library!
Over the past year, Cobargo Food Tool Library has been buzzing with activity, delivering a fantastic series of nine hands-on workshops. From preserving and fermenting local produce to the art of spit roasting a lamb, there’s been something for everyone!
A total of 116 enthusiastic participants joined in 9 sessions over a 12-month period.
It was reported that the sessions were fun and participants learned valuable skills like fermenting, canning, pickling, and milling grains while gaining confidence in using tools from the Tool Library. Designed to be inclusive, the workshops catered to both seasoned foodies and beginners and instilled a sense of accomplishment and confidence for home experimentation.
Another workshop on fermenting is coming soon, so stay tuned, follow, and support the Triangle Tool Library. The local volunteers there are doing a fabulous job and members can borrow all sorts of useful tools, including kitchen appliances !
Thank you, Heather Anderson for an awesome report, and well done on this project.
