Celebrating 25 Years Backing Community in the Bega Valley

Celebrating 25 Years Backing Community in the Bega Valley

As we reflect on 2025, we are proud to share the Mumbulla Community Foundation 2024/25 Annual Report and celebrate 25 years of giving where we live. For a quarter of a century, your generosity — through donations, grants, partnerships, and volunteer leadership — has strengthened the Bega Valley and helped build a more connected, resilient community.

This milestone is not just a marker of time, but a testament to what local people can achieve when we back each other. Every contribution, large or small, has helped create opportunities, support local organisations, and uplift individuals across the region.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we enter our next chapter, we’re focusing on several key priorities that will deepen our impact and expand opportunities across the Bega Valley:

  • Growing the Bega Valley Women’s Giving Circle, where, through collective giving, local women unite to uplift and nurture community — starting with women and young people.
  • Launching a Gifts in Wills program to build a lasting community legacy for generations to come.
  • Leveraging our new DGR Item 1 status to expand tax‑deductible giving and open new pathways for community support.
  • Expanding our Continuing Education Scholarships so more local people can access training, study, and opportunity.

These initiatives reflect our ongoing commitment to backing local people and strengthening the foundations of community life.

Thank you for being part of the journey so far — and the future we’re building together. Your support ensures that the Bega Valley remains a place where generosity thrives, opportunities grow, and community spirit continues to shine.

Closing The Year With Connection: Bega Valley Women’s Giving Circle

Closing The Year With Connection: Bega Valley Women’s Giving Circle

A warm and joyful way to close out the year for the Bega Valley Women’s Giving Circle was coming together at the beautiful North of Eden Gin Distillery, overlooking Mumbulla Mountain.

The afternoon was a chance to reflect on more than just the year that’s been. It celebrated the power of collective giving, connection and women supporting local initiatives that nurture and uplift women and young people across the Bega Valley.

Our Giving Circle brings together women from across the region who are passionate about creating meaningful, local impact. Through generosity, shared values and collaboration, we are building something deeply connected to place and community.

We also marked a special milestone — the forming and growth of our Circle, now 23 members strong — and looked ahead with excitement to what’s possible as our movement continues to grow.

Women interested in being part of something joyful, purposeful and deeply local are warmly invited to learn more about becoming a member.

21 Members and Growing!

21 Members and Growing!

Bega Valley Women’s Giving Circle continues to grow — now 21 local women (and counting!) united by a shared vision for a strong, empowered, and connected community.

After thoughtful discussion and a member vote, we’re delighted to share our Shared Purpose, which expresses what brings us together and guides our work:

Our companion statement captures the heart of our mission and how we strive to create impact:

By pooling our resources and voices, we work towards meaningful impact — prioritising women and young people, while staying open to initiatives that benefit the wider community.

These statements reflect who we are and what drives us — local women using our generosity, energy, and advocacy to make a difference right here in the Bega Valley.

Together, we’re demonstrating the power of collective giving and what can happen when women come together with shared purpose and practical action.

Local women. Practical action. Real impact. 💛

If you’d like to be part of this inspiring movement, we’d love to welcome you.
Join the Circle — because more women = more impact.

25 Years of Working Together🎉

25 Years of Working Together🎉

We’re delighted to announce the renewal of our Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bega Valley Shire Council for another four years.

Since our first MoU in December 2000, this partnership has been a strong example of Council and community working together to create positive change. Over the past 25 years, it has helped us support local organisations, initiatives, students, and community groups throughout the Shire.

We’re proud of what has been achieved and excited to continue building on this collaboration to make a lasting difference in the Bega Valley. 💜

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in this process and to all who have supported this long-standing partnership.
