Bega Valley Women's Giving Circle
Philanthropy | Women’s Collective Action | Local Impact
Bega Valley women take collective action to address local needs. We welcome women connected to the Bega Valley who want to join our community to create change. Your donation makes a real and lasting impact and it is tax-deductible.

By pooling our resources and our voices, we work towards creating meaningful impact – prioritising women and young people, while remaining open to funding initiatives that benefit the wider community.
WHAT IS BEGA VALLEY WOMEN’S GIVING CIRCLE?
We’re a group of passionate, purpose-driven women working together to make a real difference in the Bega Valley. By combining our funds, skills, experience, time, and connections, we amplify our efforts and invest in local causes that truly matter.
At the heart of our intergenerational circle is the power of working together. We support one another, share wisdom, mentor, and collaborate to tackle local challenges. Along the way, we host inspiring events and create opportunities for connection, learning, and building lasting relationships.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
- The WGC project sits under the umbrella of Mumbulla Community Foundation, which provides governance, guidance and structure.
- Contributors commit to donating a minimum amount annually, monthly, or weekly. Donations $2 and above are tax-deductible.
- Contributors decide together on the focus areas and how grants will be distributed annually
As a Contributor, you will: - Have a seat at the table for funding recommendations
- Receive invitations to events and grant presentation nights
- Build connections with other like-minded local women
- Be part of a movement that uplifts and empowers
You’re welcome to give more if you can — every dollar strengthens our collective impact.
THE GIVING MODEL
🌱Our goal is to grow a strong collective of women who commit to give annually. These pooled donations are carefully stewarded to make a lasting difference:
- 45% is granted each year to support local grassroots projects
- 45% is invested in the WGC Perpetual Fund, building long-term impact year after year
- 10% supports sustainable fund management and administration
This model enables us to meet immediate community needs while also establishing a Perpetual Fund that will enable future granting.
🌟 Storytelling and Grant Giving Night
The event is a storytelling evening where shortlisted local organisations share their inspiring projects. The night also includes a special grants presentation, celebrating the initiatives supported through the Women’s Giving Circle.
