One of the three key strategies of Mumbulla Community Foundation is to “Support, Enable and Back Individuals and Organisations”.

Mumbulla Community Foundation, through the generous support of our local Bendigo Bank and Community Enterprise Foundation, has recently been in the privileged position to award 41 Continuing Education Scholarships – valued at $1,000 each, to our community across the Bega Valley.

We awarded scholarships to a wide variety of scholars, ranging in age from 17 to 66, from all over the Bega Valley, for courses in technical, university, “miro credentials” (short professional courses) to post-graduate qualifications.

Thirty-six of our recipients were female; for a reason we do not understand, we only had five male recipients.

Our program was over-subscribed, meaning sadly that we were unable to fund all our applicants – but demonstrating the need that exists in our community.
