An Introduction to Bronze Casting – Transformation through Fire” a series of two workshops were designed and delivered by local Sculptor Ross Cameron.
This project aimed to provide bushfire survivors with a healing experience where fire can be considered a creative element to help them heal from the trauma caused by recent bushfires. The workshops were a great success, all participants successfully created original artworks in lead-free pewter using Cuttlefish bone moulds. The participants were able to create a variety of objects, including jewellery, pendants, and small sculptures. The workshops also provided an opportunity for the participants to connect with each other and share their stories, creating a supportive and safe environment for all.
