Two community-led projects, the Deconstruction Construction Road Trips in May and September 2023, as well as the Fire Sprinkler Workshop in November 2023, were reported to have reached over 150 people in the community.
These initiatives have had a positive ‘rippling effect’ beyond these numbers, aiming to harness individual skills, knowledge, and support for those rebuilding their homes and lives after the 2019/2020 Bushfires.
It’s fantastic to see that the Fire Sprinkler Workshop generated more interest, resulting in another successful workshop organized in February 2024.
Congratulations to all the organizers, and supporting organizations including Anglican Bushfire Recovery Rebuild, Red Cross, Bushfire Recovery Clinician from NSW Health and the Quaama Progress Association for auspicing that grant application!
