Mumbulla Community Foundation is delighted to support the “Recovery Sanctuary” project at the Women’s Resource Center in Bega. This space is specifically designed to meet the recovery needs of women who have experienced trauma. Once established, the ‘Recovery Sanctuary’ will provide a safe, restful, and nurturing space where women can find respite and support.
This project is fostering collaboration among women from the Bega Valley, artists, horticulturists, counsellors/psychologists, and volunteers. To date, 22 women from the community have made contributions. As the Centre continues to move forward with this project, more women will be involved in ongoing workshops.
The “Recovery Sanctuary” garden is expected to be launched in spring 2023.
