What a Day!

The Mumbulla Community Foundation recently hosted a truly special event — the Women’s Collaborative Consultation: A High Tea with Heart at the beautiful Tathra Surf Club.

We gathered a diverse group of community-minded women from across the Bega Valley to explore the exciting idea of launching a Philanthropic Women’s Giving Circle — a powerful initiative designed to unite women’s skills, passions, and resources to tackle local needs and create lasting change.

A Day of Connection and Possibility

The room was alive with energy, meaningful conversations, and a deep sense of connection. Women shared openly, feeling heard, engaged, and inspired by the possibility of collective giving.

The feedback? Overwhelmingly positive. There’s a clear appetite for women in the Bega Valley to come together, collaborate, and make a local impact.

Key Highlights from the Day:

  • ✅ Discussed the potential of establishing a Women’s Giving Circle in the Bega Valley
  • ✅ Identified key local issues and areas where collective giving could make a difference
  • ✅ Shared opportunities, hopes, and ideas for women’s collective action
  • ✅ Asked the big questions about shaping this movement for lasting impact

We are incredibly grateful to all the women who attended and contributed their voices, ideas, and enthusiasm to this important conversation.

This is just the beginning. The seeds have been planted — and together, we’re growing something extraordinary.
