Soul4thSunday was a community musical gathering where musicians and the public came together to create music and art, share conversations, and enjoy food.
Held on the fourth Sunday of each month from February to November in Candelo, it was proudly supported by the Mumbulla Community Foundation.
Congratulations to the Candelo Arts Society and David Macdonald for creating series of events that explored how live music can become a cultural asset rather than a commodified and performative one. David noted that this perspective shifts music from being passively consumed to becoming an essential part of the social fabric of a shared and meaningful life. Engaging in the collective creation of music—understanding and appreciating it as a process rather than merely a product—becomes a deeply impactful and special experience.
We love the idea of recording feedback using a typewriter. Let’s hope to see more of Soul4thSundays in 2025 in Candelo and other creative ways to engage and connect with others.
